2023 Toyota Camry Review
The Toyota Camry has ruled the midsized sedan class for 40 years now. It is a consumer favorite thanks to its reliability, efficiency, comfort, and luxury. Today, the Toyota Camry 2023 looks to do the same in our review. The following covers its quirks and features:
Features
The all-new Camry 2023 is a continuation of the 8th generation of the make. This year’s model comes with 5 trim levels, and 3 engine options (one of which is available in the 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid). The 2023 model’s also safer with extra standard driver’s assistance equipment.
Powertrain and Numbers
The standard engine on the Toyota Camry 2023 is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that produces around 203 hp. There’s also a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 300 hp. Both variants utilize an 8-speed automatic transmission. The power is sent to a front-whee or all-wheel drive system.
The 2023 Camry is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 8 seconds. It is a stellar time for a car its size. However, if you opt for the bigger V6 engine, you can get it to do the same thing in just 6 seconds.
It doesn’t matter which engine you opt for, the Camry doesn’t require a high fuel budget. The base engine gets you 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA. The high-powered V6 is also quite good with 22 mpg city and 33 mpg.
Of course, the 2023 Camry Hybrid has the best ratings – 51 mpg city and 53 mpg highway.
Interior and Technology
The new Camry 2023 features a good-looking and intelligently designed interior. The quality of the build is solid and it gets even better in the more upscale trims. The comfort levels are astounding and there’s an ample amount of room available.
The Camry also does well in terms of the cargo area. It has quite a decent trunk for the midsized sedan class. You can even fold the rear seats to increase the stowage space. Also, the in-cabin storage areas such as cubbies and pockets are quite helpful.

The following covers all the standard amenities in each trim:
2023 Camry LE
The entry-level Camry LE offers a lot of value for its price. You get keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, and a 4.2-inch instrumentation display as standard. Also included in this list is the 8-way power-adjustability for the driver’s seat.
We then get to the infotainment which is a 7-inch touchscreen mated to 6 speakers. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also included. There are a number of USB ports for added connectivity.
The standard safety features are plenty. They include forward-collision warning (w/automated emergency braking), lane-departure warning (w/lane-keeping assist), a backup camera, and adaptive cruise control.
2023 Camry SE/SE Nightshade
For this model, you get some sportier upgrades on the exterior. On the inside, you get SofTex-trimmed seats in the front and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
2023 Camry XLE
This is where the Camry 2023 gets really posh as you get leather seats and wooden interior trim. The added goodies also include push-button ignition, wireless charging for your phone, a 7-inch instrumentation display, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
You also receive 8-way power adjustability for the front passenger’s seat. There are LED reading lights in the back and the whole cabin gets ambient mood lighting. The infotainment touchscreen is now even bigger at 9 inches.
Blind-spot monitoring is also standard.
22023 Camry XSE
The 2023 Camry XSE is similar to the aforementioned XLE in terms of amenities. However, it gets some sportier upgrades on the outside.
2023 Camry TRD
The 2023 Camry TRD is the top trim aimed at driving purists or anyone who’d like to tear up the track. This is why it loses some of the niceties mentioned above to save weight and improve performance. The car also comes with cool red stitching and TRD badging throughout the cabin.
