2023 Toyota Sienna Review
The Toyota Sienna is one of the best-selling minivans in history. This is due to a whole bunch of reasons which include high comfort, lots of standard tech, excellent reliability, and affordability. The Sienna 2023 is out now and it should also have these characteristics and more. The following reviews its highlights:
Features
The new Sienna 2023 is a part of the 4th generation of Toyota’s famous minivan range, which was launched not too long ago. There are 6 highly equipped trim levels offered and since the Sienna celebrates its silver jubilee this year, one of these trims is called the 25th Anniversary Edition. There’s a single powertrain option available and it is a hybrid for maximum fuel savings.
Powertrain and Numbers
The Sienna 2023 comes with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that is connected to two electric motors. The setup produces 245 hp and 176 lb.-ft, which is received by a front- or all-wheel drive system. The transmission is an CVT gearbox.
Due to the high horsepower and the drivetrain, the new Sienna 2023 is able to achieve a 0-60 mph time of around 7.5 seconds. This is one of the fastest acceleration times in most vehicle classes. It also shows that minivans can be exciting to drive.
Furthermore, the Sienna is a great choice if you like to go trailering on the weekends. It can tow up to 3500 lbs., which is also a particularly high number for its category. This means that this van has a towing capacity that’s more than many crossover vehicles.
Finally, we have the fuel economy figures and they certainly don’t disappoint as the hybrid setup works wonders here. The FWD Sienna will do up to 36 mpg in the city and on the highway. Opting for AWD will drop these numbers slightly, to 35 mpg in both cases.
Interior and Technology
The Sienna 2023 sports a high-end interior that’s soothing to look at and feel. Everything is very well-built and the quality of the materials used inside is high. There is a lot of room for the 8 or 7 (if you opt for the captain chairs) occupants of this minivan.
The highlight is the storage space though. You get a large trunk whose storage space can be increased by adjusting the second row of seats. There are also many cubbies and pockets for in-cabin storage, and on top of all that, there are a whopping 18 cupholders.

The following are all the trim levels on the 2023 Sienna and their standard features:
2023 Sienna LE
The 2023 Sienna LE is filled to the brim with countless high-end amenities. You get tri-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, push-button ignition, 8-way power adjustability on the driver’s seat, a 4.2-inch screen for the instrumentation, and an electric parking brake.
For the infotainment, there is a massive 9-inch touchscreen connected to a stereo with 6 speakers. There’s compatibility with Android and Apple phones and there are lots of USB ports offered as well.
The safety systems are also plenty. You receive automated emergency braking (w/pedestrian detection), blind-spot monitoring (w/rear cross-traffic alerts) lane-departure warning (w/lane-keeping assist), a backup camera, and an adaptive cruise control system.
2023 Sienna XLE
It should be a hard task to one-up the amount of gadgetry on the LE, but the XLE does well. You upgrade to four-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and two more speakers on the stereo system. The steering wheel is leather-wrapped; there’s also a power rear liftgate.
The seats are upgraded massively. Not only are all of them SofTex-trimmed, but the front ones are also heated and you get better adjustability in the back according to your needs. The safety aspect is also improved as you now receive parking sensors for the front and rear.
2023 Sienna XSE
This model makes some changes to the exterior, but it also enhances the value of the interior – it adds wireless phone charging and the stereo is upgraded to a premium 12-speaker one from JBL. You also unlock a bunch of optional extras.
2023 Sienna 25th Anniversary Edition
This exclusive model is available with even more niceties and you lose some options. You get leather-trimmed seats with unique silver accents and custom floor mats. There are heated and ventilated seats up front, with the front passenger receiving 4-way power adjustability. Also included are captain chairs for maximum comfort in the back.
2022 Sienna Limited
The 2023 Sienna Limited gains back the items dropped in the aforementioned trim and adds even more to the mix. You get a larger 7-inch instrumentation and info display screen, a nicer wooden interior, etc.
2022 Sienna Platinum
The mighty Sienna Platinum truly defines luxury with all the top-tier features. Along with most of what’s mentioned above, the second row of seats and the steering wheel now offer heating. There’s a 10-inch head-up display with navigation and other info. There’s also a 360-degree panoramic view monitor.

Exterior and Driving
The Sienna is the most ultra-modern minivan not just in terms of quirks, but also when it comes to its exterior. It is very striking to look at and the trim levels help personalize it according to your preferences. The trims differ in terms of their front grilles, roof rails, LED lights, and wheels (17- to 20-inch wheels available with various finishes).
The following are the colors available on the 2023 Sienna:
- Ice Cap
- Midnight Black Metallic
- Celestial Silver Metallic
- Predawn Gray Mica
- Blueprint
- Sunset Bronze Mica
- Ruby Flare Pearl
- Cypress
- Cement
- Wind Chill Pearl
Make sure that your favorite trim has the color you like.
The Sienna is reasonably fun to drive unlike the minivans of the past. It accelerates well and is easier to control in the corners. The driver’s position is a commanding one and all the vehicle’s occupants enjoy a noiseless cabin free from vibrations.

Reliability and Warranty
The Sienna 2023 has been given a score of 74 out of 100 by JD Power in predicted reliability. Consumer Reports also has nice things to say about it. The warranties on this vehicle are a limited one for 36k miles/3 years and a powertrain one for 60k miles/5 years. You also get complimentary maintenance from Toyota for 2 years/25k miles.
Verdict
In conclusion, the 2023 Sienna may just be the most luxurious minivan available today. Not only is it completely tricked out with awesome features (in terms of comfort and safety), but its drivability is just as awesome as its bold looks. The practicality and roominess are also better than ever, and the Sienna is as reliable as ever.
